The Nigerian Entertainment Industry popularly known as the Nollywood has in recent years grow from strength to strength with a number of successful movies in cinemas. The following are the highest-grossing Nigerian films of all time in Nigerian cinemas. Revenues from special screenings, DVD sales, online streaming and theatrical screenings outside Nigeria are excluded from this gross total. Films before 2000s are also excluded from this list as their gross totals have not been inflation-adjusted.

#1 The Wedding Party 2

The Wedding Party 2: Destination Dubai is a 2017 Nigerian romantic comedy-drama film directed by Niyi Akinmolayan. It is a sequel to The Wedding Party, which was released on December 2016. Principal photography for the film, which was shot in Lagos and Dubai, began in May 2017. It is currently the highest-grossing Nigerian film of all time with a domestic Gross of ₦1.1 Billion.

    The Wedding Party is a 2016 Nigerian romantic comedy-drama film directed by Kemi Adetiba. It premiered on 8 September 2016 at the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada and on 26 November 2016 at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos. The film was released worldwide on 16 December 2016, and became the highest-grossing Nigerian film with a ₦600 million revenue; a record which was broken in 2017 by its sequel The Wedding Party 2.

      Chief Daddy is a Nigerian feature film directed by Niyi Akinmolayan, written by Bode Asiyanbi and produced by Mosunmola Abudu and Temidayo Abudu, which was released on December 2018. It starred popular Nollywood actors and actresses Funke Akindele Bello, Kate Henshaw, Nkem Owoh, Joke Silva, Patience Ozokwor, Richard Mofe Damijo, and Racheal Oniga. Chief Daddy was released in Nigeria on December 14, 2018 and in the Netherlands on March 15 2019 via Netflix. The film became the third highest-grossing Nigerian film with ₦500 million in revenue.

        King of Boys is a 169 minutes 2018 Nigerian political thriller film written, co-produced and directed by Kemi Adetiba. It is the second movie directed by Kemi Adetiba after The Wedding Party. It reunites Adetiba with Adesua Etomi and Sola Sobowale after they worked together in her directorial debut, The Wedding Party. The movie is focused on power tussle. It stars rappers Illbliss and Reminisces in their movie debut roles. Others include Paul Sambo, Osas Ajibade, Toni Tones, Sani Muazu, Demola Adedoyin and Akin Lewis. It has a box office revenue of ₦245 million to rank the 4th Highest-Grossing Nigerian Movie of all time.

          #5 Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons

          Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons is a 2018 Nigerian Nollywood movie written, produced and directed by Ayo Makun. The film is set in the Nigerian capital, Abuja. Four rich men (the Merry Men) seduce powerful women, get contracts from the political elite, steal from the rich, give to the poor and have sex with the hottest women in town. They face their biggest challenge yet when they antagonize a notorious and corrupt politician who plans on demolishing a village to build a shopping mall. The four men scheme to save the poor people of the village. In 2019 Ayo Makun announce the sequel of the movie. It is the fifth Highest-Grossing Nigerian Movie with ₦230 million box office revenue.
